When BOINC starts T4T, the VM runs and appears to be processing jobs. The F2 terminal shows many messages about processing histograms.

But, the progress bar in BOINC stays at zero, and the work unit never stips. I finally aborted one at 30 hours and another at 9 hours, both reading zero on the progress bar.

Does anyone know this problem and how to fix it.

Take a look at your VM VirtualBox Manager

Is there just one Boinc_VM running or several running or just some extra's sitting there?

If there is more than one you will have to remove them all and start over clean with a new Boinc_VM and T4T task.

Dear PLS,

Yes, we know the problem and it is fixed in the official BOINC wrapper. For the moment, the solution until we deploy the new wrapper is to quit BOINC, then go to the slot folder, and open a file named: ProgressFile. Edit that file and write a value like this: 86200. The next time you start BOINC the WU should finish correctly and you will get the credits, otherwise you will lose them.

There is a specific sticky thread about this issue in the forum, check the thread How to end a task Gracefully

Cheers,

Daniel
